Note: Our classmate’s full name was indeed Jeremiah Joseph Murphy, according to the 1969 graduation list in Cherry Hill News. Another article confirmed his mother’s name was Florence.

Jeremiah Joseph Murphy, 62, of Hedgesville, W.Va., passed away Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014, at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va. Born Nov. 14, 1951, in Philadelphia, Pa., he was the son of the late William and Florence Phillips Murphy.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Navy. Jeremiah loved fishing and NASCAR racing. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Patty Murphy; son, Michael Murphy and wife, Stephanie, of Hollidaysburg, Pa.; one granddaughter… two sisters; and one brother. He was preceded in death by one brother.
