Obituary for Ms. Deborah Rinker Fimbel
Debbie was passionate in nurturing all that she loved – her family, friends, pets, gardens and the natural world. She generously gave of herself to all who needed her talent, energy, and creativity with kindness and wry humor. Soon after moving permanently to Crumpton she joined the Chester River Chorale, enthusiastically involving herself both as a board member of the organization and member of the Chorale, singing second soprano. She also brought her considerable organizational skills to bear on behalf of the Chorale, organizing events and keeping everything on track.
Debbie is survived by her husband Kurt, with whom she shared her life and her many interests for over 30 years; her father Maynard Rinker and his wife Jean of Shrewsbury, MA; her brothers, Donald Rinker and his wife Karen of Flemington, NJ, and Mark Rinker and his wife Charity of Ringoes, NJ; and her nephew Steven Rinker and his wife Christy. She was predeceased by her mother, June Hyman Rinker. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs Syrah and Demeter. Debbie will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially her husband, family and her many friends in Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
A memorial service will be held at the Crumpton United Methodist Church on Third Street in Crumpton, MD on Sunday, November 10 at 2 pm, with a gathering afterwards in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Debbie’s memory to the Humane Society of Kent County, PO Box 352, Chestertown, MD 21620; the Chester River Chorale, PO Box 461 Chestertown, MD 21620; or Women in Need, 327 High Street, Chestertown, MD 21620.
