Lee Freedman

But Lee’s Facebook page remained viewable as of 2018, with various posts and photographs, including one with William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy of Star Trek fame.

According to Philadelphia Inquirer stories, Lee ran the Woodstock Pizza concession in 1994, selling 100,000 pies at the 25th anniversary event of the famous New York State festival of music, peace and love.  He got the gig because sponsor Pepsi, after its Pizza Hut subsidiary declined the task, refused to let competitors like Domino’s get involved. When Lee’s pitch to sell a music-amplifying invention called an “ear lens” got nixed, he asked what else he do. How about pizza? he was asked.

Lee also innovated a color-based alphabet called Kromophons. Think of words as a set of colored blocks, each block representating a specific letter. See CNet article.,”Alphabet Changes Color of Communication.” Lee was a physician who had also sold real estate, CNET says.

 

 

Steven Galaton

Steven M. Galaton, a longtime resident of Doylestown, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at his home. He was 63. He was the husband of Diane L. Galaton. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Steve was the son of Martin and Eileen Safalow Galaton of Del Ray Beach, Florida.
Steve graduated from Cherry Hill West High School and received his Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware. He received his Master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
He was employed by several regional chemical companies including Air Products and Arkema. Most recently he headed A-Gas Performance Chemicals based in Doylestown. Steve had many international friends from years of travel in Europe, Mexico and the Far East. He was an avid golfer and wine connoisseur.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his daughters, Blaire Galaton-Kelleher and her husband, Brian, and Kerry Galaton; his brother, Michael; his dog, Rebel; and grand-puppy, Wilson. He also will be sadly missed by his longtime neighbors and friends from Pine Mill Circle. …
