“Both a poet and nonfiction writer, her work was published widely and she gave readings and talks around the world,” according to her obituary in the Ithaca Journal on Oct. 21, 2006.

Her literary works, as seen on Amazon.com, include five books of poetry (Eight Colors Wide; Ninth Life; Come Wind, Come Weather; Afterings; and the award-winning Summons,), three memoirs (The Island of the White Cow, From Where We Stand, and A Family of Strangers), a collection of poetry she co-edited titled The Poet’s Notebook, and issues of the Seneca Review, a journal she edited.

Steven Spewak

Steven Spewak was an influential innovator in devising strategies for organizing and using data in business and other fields, according to his Wikipedia page.

He co-authored a “seminal book,” Enterprise Architecture Planning, in 1992, and “lectured several generations of Enterprise Architects and performed many consulting assignments for Fortune 500 clients, US and Canadian Federal Government organizations, as well as State, Local and Tribal government bodies,” according to Wikipedia.

Steven H. Spewak, 53, of Princeton, died March 29 in Alexandria, Va. … He was a graduate of Case Western Reserve University, where he earned both B.A. and M.A. degrees; and the University of Michigan, where he earned a Ph.D. in business administration. He was the proprietor of a management consulting practice with offices in Princeton and Washington, D.C. He was also an author, consultant, and lecturer on enterprise architecture planning to dozens of national and international organizations, corporations, and government agencies. He is survived by his mother, Maxine Spewak; two sons, Jonathan D. and Matthew C.; and a brother, Michael.
